Iceberg VI, Cuverville Island, Antarctic PeninsulaCuverville Island sits along the Antarctic Peninsula, surrounded by some of the most extraordinary ice formations I've ever seen. This particular iceberg had been sculpted by wind and current into a faceted spire, almost geometric in its complexity. The overcast sky threw soft, even light across its surface, which is exactly what you want for ice. Direct sun flattens everything, but diffused light like this lets the deep blue shadows in the crevices
