mars komagatake yakushima aging 2020 single maltThis bottling was released on the Japanese market in August 2020 and was only released by lottery. What's special about it is that the barrels were brought to the small island of Yakushima (a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1993) for maturation. The barrels spent a total of approximately three years there. The climate with 75% humidity gave the whisky a distinctive note of wood and cinnamon.
